Student Leadership Team
Student Leadership is an important part of school life in Coláiste Abbáin. It provides students with opportunities to develop confidence, responsibility, communication skills and a sense of belonging. Through roles such as Prefects, Meitheal Leaders and Student Council representatives, students can contribute positively to the culture and daily life of the school.
Each tutor group will have a Student Council representative to help ensure that student voice is heard and represented. Regular Student Council meetings will take place throughout the year to promote student voice, encourage leadership and support student involvement in school improvement.

Student Leadership at Coláiste Abbáin
Student leadership is vital for cultivating responsible, confident, and dynamic citizens. At Coláiste Abbáin, we believe in empowering our students to lead, make decisions, and contribute meaningfully to the school community and beyond. Through various leadership roles, such as student council, Meitheal, committees, and extra curricular leadership, students learn to voice their opinions, collaborate, and effect positive change. We encourage student voice by providing platforms for open dialogue, allowing students to shape school policies and initiatives. By fostering leadership skills and promoting active participation, we prepare our students to become thoughtful leaders and engaged citizens, both within our school and beyond.
